Swan Hill Bridge Replacement

Overmorrow provided comprehensive System and Safety Assurance Management, including the review of Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) documentation and contributions to the business and system requirements concerning RAM and safety issues. This involvement ensures that the new bridge meets stringent standards for operational performance and safety, supporting long-term sustainability and efficiency.

Swan Hill (Victoria) is a key crossing of the Murray River from Murray Downs in regional southwest NSW. The bridge replacement project is managed by TfNSW in conjunction with the Victoria Department of Transport and Planning and aims at the construction of a new movable bridge (with increased capacity for safe, efficient and sustainable access to regional areas). The movable bridge will be the first of this kind built by TfNSW in 40 years and requires a rigorous engineering approach with specific activities to ensure the bridge’s reliability and maintainability.
