Sydney Metro Pitt Street Station, Systems Engineering & Assurance

Overmorrow Consulting was appointed by CPB Contractors as the Systems Engineering & Assurance Manager (Independent Contractor) for the design and construction of the $463 million Pitt Street integrated station development, as part of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project.

The project consists of a several integrated station buildings. The southern building near the corner of Pitt and Bathurst streets will include 234 premium rental apartments with extensive dedicated resident amenities and hospitality space. The north building, a 39-storey premium office building and retail plaza, will accommodate about 47,800 square metres of office space and 1,290 square metres of retail.

As the Systems Engineering & Assurance Manager for the project, we set up a team of Safety Assurance, Requirements Management, Rational® DOORS® Administration and Human Factors specialists and procured specialist services in Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Analysis (RAM) and Cyber Security.

We led the systems setup and managed the successful implementation of Safety Assurance, RAM analysis, Cyber Security and Security Assurance, Requirements Management, Assumptions Management, RELATICS implementation, Independent Certification and Network Assurance Submissions, culminating in achieving Design Stage 3 Configuration Control Board approval from the Network Assurance Committee (NAC) within agreed timeframes and budget. We continue to be involved in setting up and overseeing the construction phase assurance for the project.
