Mastering System Architectures For Infrastructure Projects

Exclusive one day course

Start managing your projects using system architectures with our intensive, hands-on one day course designed to give you the tools and knowledge to create a comprehensive and organized functional and physical architectures for your civil infrastructure projects.

We combine 20 years of knowledge from the Netherlands and Australia in developing system architectures for infrastructure projects and integrate with digital engineering to offer a comprehensive learning experience.

Who should attend?

Project Managers, Engineering Managers, Design  Managers, Technical Managers and Engineers.

This course will enable you to:

  • Create well-structured and integrated system architectures, understand their use and benefit
  • Systematically identify and ensure completeness of system requirements
  • Improve understanding of your problem space, decision-making and change management
  • Enable value engineering by knowing exactly what functionality you need, solution agnostic.

In this course you will learn to generate and get maximum benefit out of well-structured, complete, and integrated architectures of systems and subsystems. The course will explain the system architecture definition process, the system analysis process based on the theory from ISO15288, and various techniques to apply these processes. We will put this in the practical context of project and engineering management as well as digital engineering. Practical examples from the fields of transport and energy infrastructure will be presented and discussed.

Course Outline:

  • System architecture and analysis in the SE Life Cycle
  • Functional analysis and system allocation
  • Interface analysis
  • Design definition and integration
  • The key to standardize and digitize
