RUBEN WELSCHEN
Managing Director
Ruben is the founder of Overmorrow Consulting, bringing more than 20 years of experience in Systems Engineering and Assurance across the transport sector (including Metro, Heavy Rail, Light Rail and Road) in Australia, Asia and Europe.
He has specialist skills in Systems Engineering RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety), System Safety Risk, Tunnel Safety and Fire Safety. His expertise spans the full asset lifecycle, from strategy and planning, through to design, construction and asset management.
Ruben is recongnised for his strong stakeholder management, project control and leadership capabilities. A hard-working and dedicated team member and leader; he combines commercial acumen and strategic vision with a collaborative and consultative approach, enabling effective outcomes across complex, multidisciplinary environments.

DANNY VAN LOON
Principal Systems Engineer
Danny has more than 20 years of experience applying advanced Systems Engineering techniques in Civil construction (road, rail, dredging, land development, bridges), Offshore, Energy infrastructure and Shipbuilding.
He has excellent Process Management, Project Controls, Coaching and Mentoring skills. He has specialist skills in Systems Engineering, Risk Management, Requirements management, Verification, Quality Control and (spatial) Information Management. Danny has experience on both project and corporate level in improving processes. He can be described as a visionary with the ability to make theory work in practice.

ALESSANDRO UBERTI
Principal Safety & RAMS
Alessandro has over 18 years’ experience in reliability, maintainability and safety management with a focus on safety and risk assessment for high integrity and complex systems in aviation and rail.
With a systematic, organised and agile approach, he has managed safety and system assurance, requirements management, reliability and maintainability for systems like ETCS, rolling stock, training and simulator systems, station systems etc. Alessandro has a demonstrated capability to work with multiple stakeholders at different levels and to lead a team’s effort to achieve project goals in an efficient and timely manner.

John Nasr
Associate Director
John Nasr is a Chartered (CPEng) Systems Engineering specialist with experience in both government and commercial positions spanning the automotive, aerospace, Defence, transport and energy sectors. A recognised leader in his field, John is dedicated to using his Systems Thinking, Systems Engineering, process improvement and project management expertise to help clients manage and develop their complex projects, reducing risk and ensure that the customer receives what they ‘need’ when they need it.
John has been involved in the development effort for complex, multi-billion-dollar projects, has led large multi-disciplinary teams across several sectors and has developed cost-cutting asset management strategies. In transport John is known for his ability to deliver outcomes through a pragmatic and risk-based approach to systems engineering throughout the lifecycle.

RAFIUL RIFAT
Senior Systems Assurance (BNE)
Rafiul is a Systems & Assurance Engineer specializing in systems architecture design, requirements management, interface management, change and configuration management, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and safety & engineering assurance. Experienced in infrastructure, rolling stock, and signalling projects, he has successfully delivered systems safety management for several major projects. Rafiul has demonstrated excellent stakeholder management and Safety in Design workshop facilitation skills, developing safety assurance cases and plans, managing V&V processes, and handling system-level design and interface specifications.
Rafiul holds a BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney. Rafiul’s commitment to excellence and his collaborative approach have consistently resulted in the successful delivery of complex, system-critical projects.

RAMEZ AZIZ
Prinicpal Safety Assurance
Ramez is a Risk and System Safety engineer with over 25 years of experience in the rail, hazardous industry planning, and energy sector. He is a Principal Safety Assurance & Accreditation Consultant utilising his technical expertise in leading the delivery of assurance solutions to various client organisations. Ramez has recent expertise in Safety Cases, System Safety Engineering, and Safety Assurance processes throughout the lifecycle.
He is highly skilled in Process Safety and HSE Risk Management including quantitative and qualitative risk assessments, Major Hazard Facilities Safety Case preparation and review, Occupied Buildings Risk Assessments, Safety Management System audits, the development of Emergency Response Plans, Land Use Safety Studies, and Underwriting Risk Surveys.

MICHELE SEDRAN
Consultant, Systems Engineering & Safety Assurance
Michele (Mickey) Sedran is a Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance Engineer with experience delivering complex infrastructure projects across Australia, including Sydney Metro and Western Sydney Airport.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a strong systems-thinking approach, Michele is recognised for his analytical rigour, structured problem-solving, and ability to remain calm under pressure. He has contributed to major safety assurance submissions, presented to governance boards, and played a key role in developing and maintaining critical project artefacts such as hazard logs and requirements traceability systems.

BRENDAN RYAN
Principal Human Factors
Brendan has extensive experience as a human factors consultant working in safety-critical and major infrastructure projects with complex interfaces and numerous stakeholders. Brendan is passionate about user-centred design and integrating this approach with other Systems Engineering disciplines to deliver safe, high quality outcomes on time that meet user needs and fulfil project requirements.

WENDY TAN
Business Manager
Wendy co-founded Overmorrow and currently serves as the Business Manager. She holds an Honours degree in Business from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and is a Chartered Financial Consultant with the American College with over 15 years of experience in independent financial advising.
She now plays a key role in running the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring everything functions smoothly behind the scenes. She also plays a key role in putting together tenders and facilitating the commercial team. Central to all these responsibilities is her focus on ensuring the consultants are well-supported, an essential part of maintaining a positive team culture and keeping the business running smoothly.
